Single stage paint - what's best type for salty air if I can't afford base coat/clear coat?

Question: I want to paint my car so it looks drummer more presentable, I have a compressor, sprinkle several guns, tape, paper, petroleum spirit, an innate filter respirator - do it myself. Can not afford to paint $ 700/gallon PPG - more than the car is useful.

Answer: Acrylic enamel can contain up comely well, and you should be able to get a gallon of paint brand, one gallon gear torque, and some hardener Gleam for about $ 250 - $ 300, unless prices grew up that I did not buy.
