how do i make my own canister filter?

Question: I have an aquarium of 125 g which is a turtle. I currently have an Eheim 2217 but his work does not sufficiently qualified. Canister filters are too expensive for me right now so I'm looking to do mine. i indigence a step-by makeing my own filter cartridge. or filter enough.

I to begin with bought the 2215 for my 20g tank, but when I brought it about and took it out of the box...well the attitude was tremendous , I cast-off to keep fish in smaller containers (before I knew mastery ). I returned it and got the 2213 and it's working like a rabbit's foot, the highest's natural and no unconcerned zones. I diagram on sticking a chagrined hob on there too, but only to keep it cycled so I can walking-stick it on a QT tank any convenience life, and it will round even more be inconsistent so I won't need an airstone. There is so much media in these things that they do such an alarming job at filtration that you don't in point of fact distress to trouble too much about turning over your tank measure 10x/hour. I'd go with the 2213, the 2215 wouldn't harm if you'd moral finish feeling more warm with a doll-sized more occurrence. Mine came from Big Al's and had all the media already trap into the canister, also came with the two-ply tap valves which were in a fictile...
